We made it! A long flight, but not as bad as I has expected! South African Airways has a much higher level of service, even in coach class, than almost any level of service provided by US airlines. Nowif we could only have eliminated the loud families 2 rows in front of us. Anyway, we arrived and got ourselves settled, and then headed to the V & A Waterfront (Victoria & Alfred..whoever he is). I am uploadinga bunch of photos-as you can see, the weather cleared and the viewswere even more spectacular as the day progressed. Dinner and an early bedtime tonight, and then we climb Table Mountain (you should be able to figure out which one that is from the pix) in the AM. What an amazing place! And Nat confirmed for all of you who have been wondering-the toilet flushes in the same direction!
